• In order to book your date, we require a 25% down payment when the contract is signed.
• Half your balance is paid by one year out.
• Final payments are due 30 days prior to your wedding day.

In the case of rain, we have a beautiful indoor option in our historic barn in an area separate from your reception dinner.
Couples love this option because it doesn't require the disruptive room "flip" like at other venues and it doesn’t feel like an afterthought.

Because we only host one event per weekend, our pricing does not change whether you hold your ceremony on-site or off-site.

Dogs are allowed during ceremony and pictures, but must be off-site during the reception. Frutig Farms reserves the right to deny the presence of dogs at events for any reason.

We recommend 4:00pm or 4:30pm, but ultimately it is your decision and we can help you plan your timeline to meet your specific needs.

Most venues in our area are moving toward offering single day rentals— your wedding only happens once, and we believe you should take time to enjoy it.
For this reason, we offer Friday starting at noon to decorate, rehearse, and even host your welcome party until 10pm.

No fireworks or sparklers are allowed on the property.

Yes— we want everyone to get home safely.
You may come back on Sunday morning to retrieve and vehicles or personal items left at the venue.

Music ends at 11pm and we ask that ll guests be off property by midnight.

Yes, we allow DJs and live bands. You might also consider live instrumentation for your ceremony or cocktail hour.

Candles are permitted in the lower barn only— no candles in the upper barn.
Candles must be contained so that no wax drips onto the linen.

In Washtenaw County, you can apply for a marriage license through the Register of Deeds. The cost for a marriage license for a Michigan resident is $20 and out-of-state residents is $30.

Catering and Alcohol

We work exclusively with Wesley’s Catering, Frita Batidos, Zingerman’s, Cutting Edge Cuisine, Slow’s BBQ, and Katherine’s Catering.
You may bring in outside catering for your rehearsal dinners or welcome party.

We know not everyone drinks, and you don’t want to be stuck paying for it.
Being able to bring your own alcohol means huge savings vs getting married at venues with per person package prices.
Baxter’s Liquor is our exclusive alcohol provider.
We work directly with you to help determine your drink menu and quantities to match your guest count, then help you place your order at Baxter’s.
All your alcohol and soft drinks are delivered to the venue on Friday and set up by our TIPS-certified bar team.
Setup & Event Day

Outside food is allowed on Friday and during the day on Saturday.
Your wedding dinner is provided by one of our caterers.

Yes, we handle all the setup of your tables, chairs, linen, and bar.
Your caterer will handle all place settings.
You or your decorator are responsible for floral and any additional decor.
We will clean up your event at the end of the night on Saturday and you can return on Sunday to collect your belongings.
